Josef Mach

Josef Mach ( born February 25, 1909 in Proßnitz, Moravia, Austria - Hungary, † July 7, 1987 in Prague) was a Czech screenwriter and film director.

Life and work

Josef Mach worked early in his career as a journalist and stage actor, as an assistant director in the field of short film he was offered at the Grafo film studios in 1938. Later he worked as a scriptwriter and film director for the movie studios Barrandov in the former Czechoslovakia. The mid-1960s, he was invited to stage the DEFA an Indian film. It was the first of the DEFA Indian films The Sons of the great she-bear, who made ​​her a star Gojko Mitic in East Germany.
