Josef Obajdin

Josef Obajdin ( born November 7, 1970 in Poděbrady ) is a former Czech football player.

Club career

Josef Obajdin played up to the age of 15 for his hometown club TJ SB Poděbrady. In 1984 the attacker to Sparta Prague. From 1989 to 1991 he did his military service in VTJ Tábor. The 1991/92 season, he started at second division Škoda Plzeň, but went in the course of the year to Dukla Prague, for which he completed five top-flight. The following season he started in the 2nd league in SK Poldi Kladno, but soon moved to Slovan Liberec, who rose in the first league at the end of the season.

In Liberec Obajdin came in very good shape and scored 1993/94 eleven goals in 28 games. In the first half of the season 1994/95 Obajdin made ​​ten goals in 14 games and was then obliged to Eintracht Frankfurt. In the Bundesliga, but he could not really get a foothold and made just three games for the Hesse also due to injury concerns. The first half of the 1995/96 season he played again at Slovan Liberec and moved in January 1996 to Sparta Prague. There Obajdin remained for five years, scoring 29 goals in 146 games. Although in great shape, he was only irregularly placed in the 2001/ 02 season by new coach Jaroslav Hřebík and moved in January 2002 on loan to the Greek first division club Omonia Nicosia. After half a year Obajdin went back to Prague, but was again able to win a regular place. He was loaned to Bohemians Prague, where he did not hit in ten games. Back in Sparta it was used only in the second-rate B- team.

As Obajdins contract with Sparta expired in 2004, the now almost 34 - year-old striker was out of contract. He was a short time later hired as a contract Amateur from sixth division Sokol Jindřichovice pod Smrkem and loaned out to third division side Slovan Varnsdorf in spring 2005.

In early 2006, moved Obajdin on loan to the Polish first division club Wisła Płock, where he came sporadically used. Coach was there by his countryman Josef Csaplar. In the summer of 2007 Obajdin returned to Varnsdorf. In July 2008 Obajdin joined Arsenal Ceska Lipa. In the 2009/10 season he was in the squad Sokol Jindřichovice.
