Josefine Cronholm

Josefine Cronholm ( * 1971 in Småland) is a Swedish singer of modern jazz.

Cronholm was as a young member of several Swedish vocal groups and entered 1991 in the Brazilian clubs. She began her music studies in Sweden and graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen. In 1997, she joined as a member of Django Bates ' Human Chain on within the Jazzpar 97 and was then a member of the bands of Marilyn Mazur, with whom she also toured in Germany. She also appeared with the New Jungle Orchestra Pierre Dørge. With her ​​band, Ibis, it presented two albums. She also performs with the group String Swing by Søren Siegumfeldt, with them on the Copenhagen Jazz Festival 2005 was successful. In addition, she was involved in the music of The Killing.

In 2003 she was awarded the Jazz i Sverige artist. In France, she received the Choc, in Denmark the Danish Grammy Award with String Swing and Palæ Bar Prize.
