Josep Montserrat i Torrents ( born 1932 in Barcelona ) is a Spanish teacher, philosopher, and historian Koptologe.

Life and work

Work

Montserrat Torrents translated and edited philosophical and religious-historical literature and texts of Western philosophers, Epictetus and Plato, as well as texts of the Presocratics and of the Gnostics into Spanish. He also worked as a journalist for several Spanish magazines and broadcasters.
