Joseph Salvador (scholar)

Joseph Salvador ( born January 5, 1779 Montpellier, † March 17, 1873 in Versailles) was a French historian of Judaism.

Life

His father was Jewish and came from a long-established Marranenfamilie, the mother was Christian. In his works, Judaism described as the embodiment of ideals of the French Revolution.
