Joseph Wiseman
Joseph Wiseman ( born May 15, 1918 in Montreal, † October 19, 2009 in New York City ) was a Canadian actor.
Life
Wiseman's most famous role was that of Dr. Julius No in the first James Bond film Dr. No from 1962. Among his other film credits included Viva Zapata! alongside Marlon Brando, William Friedkin's The Night They Minsky flew open and the Western Lawman starring Burt Lancaster. Since the 1950s, he played guest roles in television series such as The Twilight Zone, MacGyver, The A-Team and Law & Order. Between 1986 and 1988 he had a starring role in the series Crime Story.
Wiseman was next successfully worked as a theater actor. His debut on Broadway, he was in 1938, in 2001 he had his last involvement in Judgment at Nuremberg.
