Josip ÄŒop

Josip Čop ( born August 17, 1961 in Varaždin ) is a former Yugoslav football player.

Career

Čop began in the second division at NK Varteks Varaždin. After only one year, he moved in 1976 to NK Zagreb in the first division. He then rose in 1979 from NK and in the following year again, before he descended again in 1981. In 1983 he moved for a season to Hajduk Split. In Split he won the 1984 Yugoslav Cup. In the same year he took part in the European Football Championship in France. He was not used. He completed a total of two caps for Yugoslavia.

In 1984, he went to Austria for SK Sturm Graz, where he played for two years in the highest Austrian league.
