Josse De Pauw
Josse De Pauw ( born 1952 in Asse, Belgium) is a Flemish actor, director and author.
De Pauw studied at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels under renowned teachers and at the same time with other famous Belgian actors. Mid-70s, he began to work in Brussels in artists' collective Schaamte, which was the forerunner of the later Kaaitheater. Since 1999 he has been an integral playwright at Victoria worked in Ghent and has held on several leadership positions in theaters.
But De Pauw was active not only in theater but also acted in about 50 films in cinema and television. He is one of the most successful and best-known film stars in the Benelux countries. One of his - also in Germany - known films, the Oscar-nominated film comedy Everybody is a Star! of 2000. De Pauw himself wrote screenplays and three movies and twice led also directed. For his works and his work, he was awarded with a variety of prices.
