Journal of Economic Theory

The Journal of Economic Theory, often abbreviated as JET, is a professional journal in the field of economics.

Since 1968, Karl Shell is the editor. Shell shared the post with Jess Benhabib 2000 to 2004, and later with Alessandro Lizzeri and since then, with Christian Hellwig.

The Journal of Economic Theory accepts about 10 % of all submitted articles.

Reception

In the magazine list of the Handelsblatt Ranking VWL the JET is classified both in 2007 and 2011 in the second-best category (A).

The Impact Factor of the Journal of Economic Theory was in 2012 at 1,069. In the statistics of the Social Sciences Citation Index, the Journal Impact Factor with this at 124 instead of 333 journals in the category of Economics has been conducted.
