Joy Fawcett

Joy Lynn Fawcett born Biefeld ( born February 8, 1968 in Inglewood, California) is an American soccer player.

Career

Fawcett heard along with Mia Hamm, Julie Foudy, Brandi Chastain and Kristine Lilly of the five U.S. players, who from the 1991 World Series to the 2004 Olympic Games in the tremendous success of the U.S. national team had (two Olympic medals and two World Cup titles ). She brought it to a total of 239 matches in which they scored 27 goals. Particularly noteworthy is the fact that it was a mother of three in the course of their career.

Fawcett, who plays on the position of the defender, played their first international match in a 2-0 victory on August 3, 1987 against China. She played during their college period from 1987 to 1990 for the University of California. In 1991 she became the first -time world champion with the national team. In 1996 she won the U.S. national team at the Olympic Games in Atlanta, the gold medal. She was again in 1999 with the national champions.
