Joyce Cavalcante

Joyce Cavalcante (born 12 March 1949 in Fortaleza ) is a Brazilian writer. She grew up in Sobral on in the state of Ceará.

Life

Cavalccante Joyce was born on 12 March 1949 in Fortaleza in the state of Ceará in Brazil. She spent her childhood in the small town of Sobral on the Fazenda jatobá that belonged to her father. During school, she moved to Fortaleza.

After her graduation, she chose Sao Paulo as their adopted country to develop their careers as a writer. She is active as a novelist, storyteller, lecturer and chronicler and so far published eight books of fictional prose. They also took part in several narrative anthologies with other authors. It gives lectures on literature at Brazilian and foreign universities and is president of the Rebra - Rede de Escritoras Brasileiras, a non-profit organization with the aim to improve the career opportunities of women in Brazil. In 1999 she founded the Rebra speech de - Escritoras Brasileiras your concern is to strengthen their works, publications and lectures, the status of women, particularly the women writers in Brazil. Awards
