Jozef Barmoš

Jozef Barmos ( born August 28, 1954 in Šurany, Czechoslovakia ) is a former Slovak football player and current coach.

Playing career

Barmos began playing football at at Družstevník Bešeňovo, 1970, he moved to Inter Bratislava. 1978 played the defender for Dukla Prague, then again for Inter Bratislava. In 1985, he finished his career.

Between 1977 and 1982 Barmos played 52 times for the Czechoslovakian national team. He participated in the 1982 World Cup and the European Championship in 1980.

Coach and official career

Barmos worked as a coach with the Austrian club SV Sieghartskirchen. From 1995 to 1998 he was an assistant coach with the Slovak national team, then he led the U- 21 team. From 2000 to 2002 he was coach of the MŠK Žilina. In the following years he worked as General Manager at Inter Bratislava, where he was coach in 2004/05. From March 2006 to early 2007, he was responsible for the Slovak U-20 national team, then by the end of 2008 for the U- 21 team.
