Józef Stala

Józef Stala ( born December 6, 1966 in Mielec / Poland), ordained priest on 25 May 1991, Polish Roman Catholic theologian, professor at the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow and editor in chief of the international Wissenschaftsperiodikums "The Person and the Challenges ".

Life

Józef Stala, was born on December 6, 1966 as the third of four children in Mielec, Subcarpathian Voivodeship, south-eastern Poland. He is the son of the teacher Edward Stala and the housewife Helena Stala, born Gajek. On December 18, 1966 Stala in the parish of St. Nicholas of Borowa, his home village, was baptized by priest Józef Wierzbicki. The Sacrament of Confirmation was donated to him by Bishop Jerzy Karol Ablewicz on April 24, 1980 in Borowa.

1973-1981 Stala visited the elementary school Adam Mickiewicz in Borowa and 1981-1985 Lyceum in Mielec, mathematical-physical branch, from which he graduated in 1985 with the Matura. From 1985 to 1991 he studied philosophy and theology at the seminary in 1985 and 1986 Gościkowo paradise and from 1986 to 1991 in Tarnów.

On May 25, 1991 Stala was consecrated in the Cathedral of Tarnów by Bishop Józef Życiński a priest. His first Mass he held on 30 May 1991 in the parish church of his hometown Borowa. Immediately after his ordination Stala worked as a chaplain and secretary to Bishop Józef Życiński. 1991 to 1992 he was a curate in the parish of St. Wojciech, Boleslaw, about 36 kilometers north of Tarnów, and then to 1993 vicar in the parish of St. Casimir, Nowy Sacz, about 70 kilometers south of Tarnów.

Scientific activity

On May 31, 1991 Stala completed his studies with a Master of Theology at the Pontifical Academy of Theology Krakow (now Pontifical University of John Paul II ) from. 1993 appointed him Bishop Józef Życiński to doctoral studies at the Theological Academy in Warsaw Kathololische. According to a special study with a focus on catechesis at the Theological Academy in Warsaw on 15 May 1995, he earned a licentiate and his PhD on June 8, 1998.

Stala habilitated in 2005 with a published in 2004 Thesis: Katecheza o w Polsce po małżeństwie i rodzinie Soborze Watykańskim II ( catechesis in marriage and family in Poland after the second Vatican Council ) at the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow. In 2011, he was ( kontekście Próba refleksji nad nauczaniem Jana Paweł II w polskich uwarunkowań ) with the thesis on W kierunku integralnej Edukacji religijnej w rodzinie ( Holistic religious education in the family ( an attempt to reflect on the teachings of Pope John Paul II with a view on the situation in Poland) ). appointed professor at the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow.

Today ( 2013) is Stala priest of the Diocese of Tarnow (Poland ), Professor of Theology ( Catechetics ), Vice-Dean for Scientific Affairs for Development and International Cooperation and Chair of educational catechesis at the Theological Faculty, Department of Tarnow ( WTST ), the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow. He also fulfills the role of the coordinator of the Erasmus program at WTST and is editor of the international Wissenschaftsperiodikums "The Person and the Challenges".
