Jozef Vengloš

Jozef Vengloš ( born February 18, 1936 in Ružomberok ) is a Slovak football coach and former Czechoslovak football player.

Highlights of coaching career

The Doctor of Philosophy, Jozef Vengloš had won as a player TJ Slovan Bratislava CHZJD 1962 and 1963 and won the trophy as manager of ŠK Slovan Bratislava in the years 1974 and 1975 the championship in Czechoslovakia. When he had successfully performed in personal union with Vaclav Jezek the Czechoslovak national team through the European Championship qualifier in 1976 against England, Portugal and Cyprus, and in the quarterfinals prevailed after two games against the Soviet Union, Czechoslovakia participated in Yugoslavia at the European Championship tournament. In the semifinals, the combination set from Bratislava and Prague 3-1 goals by extension against the Netherlands through and pulled so that in the final.
