Juan Carlos Chávez

Juan Carlos Chávez Zárate ( born January 18, 1967 in Zamora, Michoacán ), also known by the nickname La Pajara, is a Mexican football coach and former player, who acted mainly in midfield.

Association

" La Pajara " Chávez began his professional career in the 1988/89 season at CF Atlas, in which he - had spent most of his playing career under contract - in three stages. He also played for one season for Puebla FC (1991 /92), the CA Monarcas Morelia (1996/ 97) and in his last season as a professional football player (1998/99 ) for the CF Pachuca.

National

His debut in the dress of the Mexican national team celebrated Chávez on 29 June 1993 in a 2-0 win against Costa Rica. His second international match took place against the USA (0-1) on 4 June 1994. His third and final international appearance was in the 1994 World Cup match against Italy (1-1), in which he came off the bench a few minutes from time for Luis García.

Coach

Since early 2009, Chavez trained the Mexican U -20 National Team.
