Juan Carlos Valerón

Juan Carlos Valeron Santana ( born June 17, 1975 in Arguinegin, Gran Canaria ) is a Spanish football player.

Career

Clubs

Valeron began his career with the Spanish club UD Las Palmas. From 1997 to 1998 he played for RCD Mallorca, 1998-2001 Atletico Madrid.

In 2001 he finally moved to Deportivo La Coruna. In the La Coruna midfielder has long been nicknamed Juan Carlos II The release of Valeron when he moved in 2001 amounted to 14 million euro, meanwhile the period specified transfer fee is at least 64.1 million euros.

On 22 January 2006, Valeron took the game to the Primera Division against RCD Mallorca ( 2:2 ) has a torn ligament in his left knee. After a very good season so far, he scored five goals in 20 league games, Valeron would have had a good chance to play in the 2006 World Cup in Germany. On 7 January 2007, he was as a substitute in the game against Real Madrid his league comeback. After the descent of Deportivo La Coruna at the end of the 2012/13 season Valeron left the club after 13 years. He changed for the current 2013/2014 season back to his "home club " UD Las Palmas.
