Juan José Guzmán

Juan José Guzmán (* 1800 in San Carlos, Distrito de Gotera (San Francisco Gotera, today Morazán ), then La Unión, † October 19, 1847 in San Vicente) was April 12, 1842 to February 1, 1844 to the President of El Salvador. On the occasion of his taking office on September 26, 1842 elections were held, before he reigned business leader.

Life

He was a military and was a member of the Partido Conservador. Juan José Guzmán was one of the President, which are the puppets of Francisco Malespín, which controlled the fate of the Partido Conservador in the background counted. 1842 Confederación de Centro América

During his reign José Francisco Morazán Quezada of the Liberal Party returned from an exile. Morazan was President of Costa Rica. Juan José Guzmán thereupon broke off diplomatic relations with Costa Rica and formed in 1842 with the governments of the Partido Conservador Francisco Ferrera in Honduras and Pablo Sánchez de Buitrago y Benavente in Nicaragua, the Confederación de Centro América.

After his presidency, Juan José Guzmán lived in San Vicente, where he was murdered.
