Juan Zambudio Velasco

Juan Zambudio Velasco ( born November 14, 1922 in Jumilla; † January 21, 2004 in Igualada ) was a Spanish football player.

Career

Velasco played from 1942 to 1956 for FC Barcelona. During this time he was five Spanish championships won and received in the season 1947/48 the Trofeo Zamora for goalies with fewest goals against. By the early 1950s he was supplanted by the emerging Antoni Ramallets more and more on the bench so that he hardly came to missions.

Between 1944 and 1948 Velasco also played two games for the Catalan football team.

After his time as a player, he was still working at various unterklassigen Catalan clubs as a coach.
