Juana Molina

Juana Molina (born in 1962 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine singer- songwriter.

Life

At twelve, Molina and her family moved from Argentina to Paris. Later she returned to Buenos Aires and began to study there, but broke this off.

In public, they first came into existence in 1988 when she appeared as an actress in the show La Noticia Rebelde. She was known for her collaboration with the comedian Antonio Gasalla. This awareness allowed her to Juana y sus hermanas own comedy show, which was popular throughout Latin America.

When she became pregnant in 1994, she began to think about ending her acting career, and instead to make music.

Published in 1996, Molina released their first album as a musician. She sings on the Río de la Plata Spanish and mostly with acoustic guitar accompanied by a, but also with electronic elements ( Folktronica ). As influences they called next Larks ' Tongues in Aspic by King Crimson and Led Zeppelin II by Led Zeppelin, they have both very impressed as a child, especially Uruguayan music. She has since released three more albums, which also contributed their much praise from critics and since Tres Cosas (2002) received international attention. This album was about in the top 10 list of the best albums of the year 2004, a critic of the New York Times.
