Juha Salminen

Juha Salminen ( born September 27, 1976 in Vantaa ) is a Finnish enduro athletes. He is eight-time class champion, five-time overall World Cup and was five times a member of the winning team trophy at the International Six Day Trial.

Sports career

His first sporting success was winning the Finnish Junior Championship in Trial. Three years later he became the national enduro champion Junior. In the same year he was one of the winning junior team at the International Six Day Trial. The following year he was part of the Trophy team that went to the second place. In 1998 he was admitted to the KTM factory team. In the same year he finished third in the world championship in the two-stroke class to 125 cc and was a member of the Trophy team that won in the Six Days in Traralgon ( Australia). The following year, he became world champion in the class ³ to 125 cm. This title he successfully defended successfully in 2000, he also became world champion. In 2001 he drove in the class up to 250 cc two-stroke, where he also won the world title and his overall World Cup title defense. The he succeeded the following year when he drove in the class up to 400 cc four-stroke. This year, the Finnish team succeeded again a Trophy victory in the Six Days. He was also a Finnish motocross champion. In 2003 and 2004 could repeat the enduro success. For the 2009 season he moved to BMW. In 2011 he became world champion in the class E1 on the BMW Group associated Husqvarna. With the Finnish national team, he won the Trophy ranking in the International Six Day Trial in Kotka - Hamina home.
