Juicy Lucy (band)

Juicy Lucy was in the early 1970s, a British rock band.

The California native Glenn Campbell was looking for almost a year suitable musician until he was able to present (ROCK DREAMS ) Juicy Lucy in October 1969, the " light and sweet and juicy Rock'n Blues Band ". The other band members were Chris Mercer and Neil Hubbard, the Campbell knew from his time at Misunderstood, the blues shouter Ray Owen, whom he met during a television show, the drummer of the band Flirtations Pete Dobson and Keith Ellis of the avant-garde rockers Van der Graaf Generator.

The very first single Who Do You Love by Bo Diddley composed, became a bestseller and reached # 14 in the UK. This was followed with the album and the single Juicy Lucy Pretty Woman another good sales.

In its programs, the musicians mingled own, fast paced rock and roll numbers with R & B classics like Nadine ( Chuck Berry ), Built for Comfort ( Willie Dixon ) and modern songs by Frank Zappa ( Willie the Pimp ), Spirit ( Mr. Skin ) and Gregg Allman ( Midnight Rider).
