Julie Dartnell
Julie Dartnell is a British artist and hairdresser who was awarded an Oscar in 2013.
Career
Dartnell began as a makeup artist in 1989 in the television film The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian & The Voyage of the Dawn. This was followed by movies like Shakespeare in Love, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Death at a Funeral, Wanted, Alice in Wonderland and Captain America - The First Avenger. For her work on the film adaptation Les Misérables Dartnell received the 2013 Academy Award for Best Makeup and Best hairstyles. At the BAFTA Awards she was awarded jointly with Lisa Westcott the price in the same category.
