Julie Girling

Julie Girling ( born December 21, 1956 in London) is a British politician of the Conservative Party.

Life

Girling studied economics. After her studies she worked for the Ford Motor Company from 1979 to 1982 and worked from 1982 to 1988 at the Argos Catalogue Group.

From 2003 to 2006 Girling was mayor in Cotswold. In the County of Gloucestershire, she was member of 2000 until 2009.

Since 2009, Girling MEP in the European Parliament. There she is a member of the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development and the Delegation for relations with the countries of Southeast Asia and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. As deputy is Girling in the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety, the Committee on Fisheries and the Delegation for relations with the Korean Peninsula.
