Julien Guiomar

Julien Guiomar ( May 3, 1928 in Morlaix, † 22 November, 2010 Monpazier ) was a French actor.

Life and work

Guiomar received after the end of World War II drama classes with Pierre Renoir and René Simon at the Cours Simon. After small roles in Parisian suburb stages he went to his first engagement in Colmar.

Back in Paris, he celebrated in 1952 at the Théâtre de l' Oeuvre first success with a stage version of the novel The Power and the Glory by Graham Greene, then in a television version.

Later, he was part of the ensemble of the Théâtre National Populaire. Tours have taken him to the Soviet Union and South America. In the cinema Guiomar was not published until the mid- 1960s. He regularly embodied bizarre figures, mostly in comedies. In a beef with it was the opponent of Louis de Funès as a criminal food producer Tricatel. Overall, he was involved in more than 100 film and television productions.
