Julio Bozano

Júlio Rafael de Aragão Bozano ( born November 8, 1936 in Rio Grande do Sul ) is a Brazilian entrepreneur, originally in the banking sector. He is one of the richest people in Brazil. Forbes magazine estimated his wealth in 2009 to 1.1 billion U.S. dollars.

His fortune earned Bozano with Banco Bozano, Simonsen, which he founded together with Mário Henrique Simonsen (1935-1999) and directed. The bank was for 1.6 billion reals (then about 0.9 billion euros ) in 2000 sold to Banco Santander Central Hispano Group.

Bozanos Holding Cia. Bozano has, among other shares of the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer.

The divorce from his wife Iza after 30 years of marriage in 1996 is true in Brazil as divorce, in which the divorced wife got the biggest asset of the marriage: 175 million real (the real time was almost 1:1 to the U.S. dollar coupled ). Júlio Bozano now lives retired from the public in Greenwich (Connecticut). He is regarded as a follower of horse racing and has a large stud farm in the state of Rio Grande do Sul.
