Júlio Tavares

Júlio Tavares ( born November 19, 1988 in São Miguel ) is a Cape Verde footballer.

Club career

Tavares began his career at a unterklassigen club in Montréal -la- Cluse. This was followed in 2008 a change to the fifth-tier FC Bourg- Péronnas with which he ascended into the fourth division in 2009. There, he scored in the first season and eight in the next two seasons 14 and 16 goals. As a result, Tavares has been committed by second division club Dijon FCO in July 2012. His pro debut he succeeded on 14 September 2012, when he was in the starting lineup in the 1-1 draw against AS Monaco. Even during his first season at Dijon he was promoted to regulars.

National

After changing to the FCO Dijon he was first included in the 2012/13 season for the national team of Cape Verde. He was also nominated for the 2013 African Cup of Nations, where he was employed in all four games until leaving in the second round.
