Julius Johann Weiland
Julius Johannes Weiland (* 1605, † April 2, 1663 in Wolfenbüttel ) was a composer.
He was in the time of Augustus II (Braunschweig -Wolfenbüttel ) singer and harpsichordist at the court in Wolfenbüttel. Along with Johann Jacob Löwe (1628-1703), an organist of Eisenach, he published Zweyer like-minded friends virtue and Schertz Songs ( 1657).
Some of the few surviving works by him are:
- Salve Jesus for 3 voices, 2 violins and basso continuo,
- Veni spiritus sancte a 6,
- Factum est Proelium magnum.
