Julius Uffelmann

Julius August Christian Uffelmann ( born January 31, 1837 in Zeven, † February 17, 1894 ) was a German physician and medical historian.

Life

Uffelmann studied in Göttingen under Friedrich Gustav Jakob Henle, Karl Ewald Hasse and Wilhelm tree. After receiving his doctorate in 1861, he practiced in Rostock, Town and Hamlin.

In 1876 he qualified as a professor in Rostock in pediatrics and hygiene. In 1879 he became associate professor and in 1893 ordinary honorary professor. Since 1883 was Uffelmann Director of the Institute of Hygiene, since 1890 a member of the United Ducal Medizinalkommission.
