Jump ( For My Love ) is a song by The Pointer Sisters in 1984, which was written by Steve Mitchell, Marti Sharron and Gary Skardina. It appeared on the album Break Out.
Originally, the title should read Jump, but since the Van Halen song Jump was published previously, we changed the title to avoid confusion, in Jump ( for My Love ). The publication took place on 7 May 1984. 1985 won the song at the Grammy Awards in the category Best Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal - Pop ( Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals ).
In the film Love Actually ... the piece was also used.
