Juncal Island

The Isla Juncal is a river island in South America.

Located in the Río Uruguay island belongs to the territory of Uruguay on the border with Argentina. It is located northwest of the city Carmelo, near the mouth region of the Río Uruguay in the Río de la Plata and is opposite of the city on the left side of the river city of Colonia ester Ella, the located south of the airport Aeropuerto de Carmelo and the mouth of the Arroyo de las Víboras. The western side of the island opposite right-hand bank of the Río Uruguay is there broken by several arms of the estuary of the Río Paraná, so also there has formed an island, the Argentine territory attributable to Isla del Portuguese. One kilometer north of Isla Juncal another, much smaller river island is to be found, the Isla Juncalito.
