Juninho Fonseca

Juninho Fonseca Alcides Fonseca Júnior actually, ( born August 29, 1958 in Olímpia, São Paulo ) is a former Brazilian footballer, who played in the central defense.

In his career he played for the following clubs: Ponte Preta (1974-1983 and 1989 ), Corinthians ( 1983-1986), Juventus Paulista and Vasco da Gama (1986 ), Cruzeiro (1987 ), XV de Piracicaba and Atlético Paranaense (1988 ), São José (1989 ), Nacional Paulista (1990 ), Olímpia (1991 ), he finished his career in Japan's J. League 1992 at Yomiuri FC.

He once won the state championship in São Paulo (1983 ), once the Guanabara Cup (1986 ) and twice the championship in the J. League (1991, 1992).

For the Brazilian national team, he played 1980-1981 four times. He participated in the 1982 World Cup in Spain, but only sat there on the bench.
