Student consultancies are worn by students at universities or consultancies in the university environment. Background

Established were the student consultancies in general in order to give the students of each university an opportunity to gain practical experience while studying to teach entrepreneurship and to learn social skills. In the university environment, student consultancies also occur frequently as the organizer of company contact fairs, case studies, lectures and "business Nights". The idea of ​​student consultancy comes from France, where it was founded in 1967 by the French ESSEC the first such organization.

The network of student consultancies now covers the whole world. Since 1992, coordinated among others, the umbrella organization JADE - European Confederation of Junior Enterprises - the cooperation of European student consultancies. The European network includes approximately 30,000 students.

Umbrella organizations in German-speaking

In Germany, there are currently two competing federations student consultancies, in Austria there is a governing body.

BDSU ( Germany )

The Federal Association of German Student consultancies based in Bonn was founded in December 1992 in Darmstadt and is now 31 member initiatives with approximately 2,300 students. Quarterly directed a member initiative from a meeting. Goals are in addition to internal club work, workshops and training sessions with companies. Member of the initiatives BDSU committed to the quality standards of BDSU which relate to the processing of projects, but also for the admission of members (students) and conducting internal training. The BDSU is a member of the European Federation JADE and eV is actively supported by the Federal Association of German Management Consultants BDU.

JCNetwork ( Germany )

The JCNetwork eV, Junior Consultant Network is (in terms of number of students), the smaller of the two German confederations student consultancies.

The JCNetwork founded in 2002 with headquarters in Karlsruhe, currently has 30 student consulting companies from Germany, with a total of approximately 1,500 student members. They advise in independent consulting projects companies in virtually all areas of business administration. The aim of the JCNetwork is the promotion and dissemination of the idea of ​​student consultancy in Germany, as well as knowledge transfer, training and experience. Following the common slogan " Enrichment by Partnership", keep the member clubs after the merger of the umbrella organization of their full sovereignty and carry out their projects independently. Moreover, there is the possibility of demonstrating the training and development of the individual student advisor with the certificate " Certified Junior Consultant (CJC ) ". Conditions for the attainment of the certificate is to participate in training in the the 4 compulsory modules ( quality management, project management, consulting basics and Law & Finance ) as well as the participation in an external consulting project in the amount of at least 2 man-days.

JADE Austria ( Austria )

The Austrian Confederation of Junior Enterprises ( CAJE ) in 1994 was included in the JADE Network and renamed JADE Austria 2005. The Federation has its headquarters in Vienna. You belong at the moment and after testing of imported quality guidelines, five Austrian Junior Enterprises at (icons, Genefy, StuCon, Uniforce and Kepler Solutions), whose interests she represents at the national and international level - both against external partners, as well as within the JADE network.
