Junior Marvin

Donald Hanson Marvin Kerr Richards Jr., better known as Junior Marvin ( * 19? Kingston, Jamaica ) is a Jamaican guitarist and singer. Other names are Junior Kerr and Junior Hanson and the misspelling Julian Marvin.

Marvin's family soon moved to England, where he began his career by small appearances in TV programs. After playing with some smaller bands, Marvin was a member of the Keef Hartley band in 1970, Junior under the name Kerr. The first few weeks he was together lead guitarist with singer Miller Anderson, until he left the band. After that Marvin was also the lead singer. With Keef Hartley band he recorded the album " Lancashire Hustler " until Hartley 1971, the band split up.

Later Marvin joined a band called Salt and Pepper, which he, however, soon left again to 1973 under the name Junior Hanson to start his own band Hanson.
