Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis

JPOG ( Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis) was developed in 2003 by Universal Interactive Studios, published by Vivendi Universal Games and belongs to the genre of business simulation and strategy building. The game has been released for the PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC.

Action

In the game, players take on the role of a Park Manager and must like John Hammond create their own Jurassic Park. Almost all dinosaurs from the three Jurassic Park movies are available. First, one creates his own island on which the new park will be built. Then it goes to the parking structure. The needs of the visitors have to be satisfied with food stalls, toilets and rest areas. The dinosaurs have to be fed, supplied with water or protected from diseases and of course in their own enclosures, be securely issued with different electric fences. Visitors will then have the possibility to various attractions (eg Dino Safari) to see these up close, at least the herbivores, or even the T -Rex from the air in a balloon. Depending on the size of the park and visitor satisfaction grows the park and you can extract using fossils unearthed new DNA (at the beginning you have only limited possibilities to clone some dinosaurs) and from this new dinosaur species breed in hatcheries. For safety in the park provide not only the electric fences, but you also have security rooms, watchtowers or surveillance cameras build to reassure visitors.

This idyll is disturbed, for example by running amok dinosaurs, hurricanes or disease epidemics, which are then stemmed using the Research Department and the ranger station with appropriate measures.

Gameplay

There are many different types of dinosaurs for cloning, which can be selected individually by the use of expedition teams around the world. Depending on the location this then promote the relevant fossils for the new dinosaur. You have several options in the game: It is possible to play 10 missions or an endless game in which you build his own park. At the beginning it is quite difficult to build with the budget a reserve, which is reflected in long waiting. Dinosaurs in the game

The dinosaurs have a certain star rating. The more stars a dinosaur, the more popular it is and the faster the park will receive a five-star rating ( the highest).
