Jürgen Bogs

Jürgen Bogs ( born January 19, 1947 in Biesendahlshof ) is a German football coach, the ( East Germany) was especially successful in the German Democratic Republic. He won with the BFC Dynamo in the GDR Oberliga 1979-1988 ten national championship titles in 1988 and 1989 series as well as twice the fdgb Cup, the national cup competition in the GDR football.

Career and success

Jürgen Bogs, as the defender at the BSG structure Schwedt was last active in the third-class district league from 1960 to 1970, taking over after the end of his playing career, first the youth department of the Berlin football club Dynamo. The trained chemical technician had graduated from 1966 to 1970 at the Leipzig Sport University DHfK a sports teacher study and completed with a diploma. After the BFC Junior 1974 and 1976 led to the DDR - runner, he was appointed on 1 July 1977 responsible coach for the league team. Bogs coached the team until the end of the season 1988/1989 and from September 1990 to October 1993 and from January 2000 to November 2001. The club played there until 1989 in the DDR - Oberliga, the top division in the GDR, and then in the Regional northeast and the Oberliga Nordost / North. More coach stations after 1990 were the first FC Schwedt, Kickers Emden and the TSG Neustrelitz. From October 2009 to April 2010 he was coach of the team of FC Schwedt 02 Since October 2012, he is coach of the Oberliga 1.FC Neubrandenburg 04

The BFC Dynamo he led from 1979 to 1988 in the GDR to ten national championship titles in series, a feat that has been achieved in European club football by any other coach. In the years 1988 and 1989, the club also won under his leadership the fdgb Cup, the national cup competition in the GDR football, and reached in 1988 the double of league and cup. In addition, the runner-up title in 1989, third place in 1978 and the four-time collection came in the cup final in the years 1979, 1982, 1984 and 1985. Successes of the club, however, were controversial in some of the football fans in the GDR, as the club due to the support was accused by Erich Mielke, the former Minister of State Security, a favor by one-sided refereeing decisions, through targeted substitution of other clubs to BFC Dynamo and by a better economic features of the club.

In European competition the BFC Dynamo in the seasons 1979/1980 and 1983/1984 managed under the direction of Jürgen Bogs each of the catchment in the quarter-finals of the European Cup of Champions and thus into the round of the last eight European clubs. Besides the ten participations in the National Champion Cup of BFC Dynamo started in this time also once each in the European Cup Winners' Cup and the UEFA Cup and reached under Jürgen Bogs with 18 wins, ten draws and 16 defeats in 44 European matches a positive balance.
