Jürgen Hartmann ( born October 27, 1962 in Seelbach ) is a former German football player and current coach. He was midfielder and played for Hamburger SV and VfB Stuttgart 363 Bundesliga games. Since 2012 he is with the Stuttgarter Kickers under contract.

Career

Hartmann began his professional career in 1985 at VfB Stuttgart, with whom he reached the 1986 DFB Cup final and 1989, the UEFA Cup final. Both finals were lost. By 1991, Hartmann played for VfB 174 Bundesliga games in which he scored ten goals.

From 1991 to 1997 he played for Hamburger SV. He denied this 189 Bundesliga games in which seven goals get him. From 1995 to 1997, he wore the captain's armband of the team. Greatest success in Hartmann's time for HSV were a 5th place and reaching the UEFA Cup qualification in the season 1995 /96 apply.

The 1997/98 season he played in Switzerland with FC Basel and finished by the end of this season of his career.

Coach

His first coaching position in professional football was from Juni until November 2007 Alemannia Aachen. There he was an assistant coach Guido Buchwald. Both were dismissed after the Bundesliga relegation after 14 matchdays only took a mid-table.

Previously trained Jürgen Hartmann Offenburger FV and missed in the 2006/2007 season only just promoted to the Oberliga ( relegation match against TSG Weinheim: first leg 0-0 - Second leg 0:1 by Own the OFV ).

From July 2009 to April 2010 Jürgen Hartmann was the coach of the regional league SG Sonnenhof Großaspach. Since 13 August 2012, he is coach of the U23 Stuttgarter Kickers. and since the beginning of 2013, assistant coach of the first team. In September 2013 he took over after the separation from Massimo Morales for three weeks training the Stuttgarter third division football team.
