Jurong Bird Park

The Jurong Bird Park ( Chinese:裕廊 飞禽 公园; Malay: Taman Burung Jurong ) is a zoo in Singapore, held in the birds. The bird park has a size of 20 hectares and is located on the western slope of Jurong Hill in Boon Lay area in the district of Jurong.

It can be seen more than 5,000 birds of around 400 species of birds there, especially species from Southeast Asia. The park has the largest publicly accessible aviary, the so-called waterfall aviary. It is home to 20,000 m² over 1,500 birds of 60 species. The aviary is also the only one in the world, through which runs a monorail. It is home to the Jurong case, an artificial 30 -meter high waterfall.

In Lory Loft, a 3,000 m² and nine-storey high aviary, more than 1,000 Loris can be seen.

The Bird Park was opened on January 3, 1971. The costs amounted to 3.5 million Singapore dollars.
