Jurong

Jurong is a district of Singapore.

Jurong is situated in the west of the island and includes both residential as well as industrial areas, the campus of Nanyang Technological University and tourist attractions such as the Jurong Bird Park and Chinese Garden. Large parts of Jurong were obtained artificially in recent years by reclaiming the sea.

In Jurong is also one of the ports of Singapore, Jurong Port. Jurong Port is the port for breakbulk and conventional ships.

The district borders the district of Jurong Tuas.

Tuas is connected by a bridge ( " Second Link " ) with the Malaysian mainland.
