The 3283 km long Juruá (Portuguese Rio Juruá ( in Brazil ), Spanish Río Yurua ( in Peru) ) is a right tributary of the Amazon in Peru and Brazil.

River

The river rises in the mountains of Peru Ucayali region southeast of Puerto Portillo and from there flows to the northwest. In Foz do Breu the extremely windungsreiche river crosses the border into Brazil and flows initially in a northerly and then - in parallel with the Purus - in a northeasterly direction through the state of Amazonas. There the same municipal Juruá is on the river.

On a total of 1823 km length of the Juruá is navigable.
