Justin Anlezark

Justin Anlezark ( born August 14, 1977 in Katherine, Australia) is an Australian shot putter.

From 1998 to 2009 he was a total of eight times Australian champion. In 2000 he qualified for the Olympic Games in Sydney, but reached the final just as at the World Athletics Championships in 2001 in Edmonton.

He had his biggest international success the following year when he won gold at the Manchester Commonwealth Games. In 2003 he was a fifth place finish at the World Indoor Championships in Birmingham, a fourth place finish at the 2003 World Championships in Paris / Saint- Denis. At the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004 he finished seventh, but withdrew an injury to a finger that forced him the following year to a competition break and 2006 had to be treated surgically.

2008 for more than three years, he broke the first time the 20 -meter mark, but came at the Olympic Games in Beijing just as little about the qualifications addition, as with the 2009 World Championships in Berlin.

His best performance is 20.96 meters, achieved on April 5, 2003 in Brisbane. He also operates the discus throw, where he was Australian champion in 1996 and 59.10 m aufstellte his personal record in Brisbane on 16 February 2007.

The athlete nicknamed " Judo " is 1,88 m tall, weighs 130 kg and starts for the club Toowoomba Glennie. He is married, father of two daughters and lives in Toowoomba.
