Jutta Haug

Jutta D. Haug ( born October 8, 1951 in Castrop -Rauxel ) is a German politician (SPD ) and member of the European Parliament. Here it is first deputy chairman of the Budget Committee and Chairman of the Special Committee on policy challenges and budgetary resources for a sustainable European Union after 2013.

Education and professional career

After visiting the Ernst Barlach -Gymnasium in Castrop -Rauxel to 1970 Jutta Haug worked at the German Red Cross. In 1974 she took on the night school in Aachen to a high school and then studied from 1975 to 1980 History and Social Sciences at the University of Aachen and the Ruhr- University Bochum. From 1981 to 1987, she was not working; from May 1987 until 1994, she worked as a research associate various parliamentary and Bundestagsabgeordeneter. Political career

After Haug joined the SPD in January 1969 it was from 1989 to 1994 a member of the City Council of Herten and 1991-2007 chairman of the Association of Social Democratic Women (ASF ) in the district association of Recklinghausen from 1996 to 2002, the ASF in the district of Western Westphalia. 1992 to 2001 she also served on the SPD district board in the Western Westphalia. 1997-2001 she was a member of the Federal Executive of the SPD from 2001 to 2010 in the North Rhine -Westphalian state board.

In the European elections in 1994 Haug won a mandate for the European Parliament, which she could defend each in 1999, 2004 and 2009 for the first time.
