K. S. Lal

Kishori Saran Lal ( * 1920, † 2002) was an Indian historian. He specialized in the field of history of medieval India, and has published in this area important standard works.

He received his doctorate from the University of Allahabad, where he wrote a dissertation on the history of Khaljis. He later published a book on the history of Khaljis (History of the Khaljis ), which became an important standard work soon.

After 1963 he was professor at the University of Delhi. He mastered Persian, Old Persian, Urdu and other languages ​​fluently.
