K2 (KovaÄ sisters duo)
K2 was a Serbian Europop duo.
History
The sisters Aleksandra and Kristina Kovač, founded in 1990, the duo K2 (from Kovač x 2). Shortly after its creation, it has been taken from the London record label " mismanagement " under contract. 1993 Errol Brown committed the sisters as the opening act and backing singers for his tour. They returned back to Belgrade in 1995 and released their debut album " K2 - Ajmo u Zivot ", which reached number 1 in her home country of the charts, followed a year later the second album " Malo Soula " ("A Little Bit of Soul" ). The duo offered a mixture of Europop and R'n'B.
In 1997, the sisters signed a deal with EMI to record an album for the Spanish market. This was published under the title " Vamos de Fiesta " in 1998. After the duo disbanded since Aleksandra wanted to start a career as a solo artist.
