The Kachemak Bay is a 64 km long bay in the southwest of the Kenai Peninsula in the U.S. state of Alaska, which is connected in Homer with the Cook Inlet. Other places on the bay are Halibut Cove, Seldovia and Kachemak. The fed from the Harding Icefield Fox River empties into the bay.

South of the bay lies with the Kachemak Bay State Park and State Wilderness Park, a 1620 km ² large reserve, the first State Park in Alaska.

" Kachemak " means in Yup'ik as much as "big cliff at the water." An earlier name of the bay was Chugachnik Gulf.
