Kaffe Fassett

Kaffe Fassett ( born 1937 in San Francisco, California) is an American designer, mosaic and textile artist and author who published especially about creating quilts numerous textbooks.

Life

Fassett grew up in Big Sur, where the local life in his art greatly influenced him later, although his artistic career in the UK began. He originally worked as a painter, but learned the ropes after he settled in 1964 in the UK.

His colorful, highly individual designs as well as patterns of many of his ideas he published in numerous books such as Glorious Knitting (1985 ), Glorious Needlepoint (1987 ), Glorious Inspirations ( 1991) and Glorious Interiors ( 1995), which also appeared in German translation.
