The Kaidu (Chinese开 都 河, Pinyin Kaidu Hé ) is a river in the Xinjiang autonomous region in the west of the People 's Republic of China.
The Kaidu rises in the Tien Shan. It flows initially in a westerly direction into the Yulduz Basin. There it turns south and finally east and reached the Yanqi Basin. After flowing through the administrative center of the autonomous district of Yanqi Kaidu is a river delta and empties into the Bosten Lake. The Kaidu has a length of 497 km and drains an area of 31,750 km ².
