Kaigas

The Kaigas Ice Age is a very early, but so far little scientific confirmed Ice Age in the geological age of Cryogeniums. Name factor for this ice age was the Kaigas Formation in Namibia. It is considered the oldest of the major glaciations in the Neoproterozoic era. Information on the timing of which is suspected in a period of millions before 780-735 years, as well as the extent of this ice age are afflicted with rather large uncertainty. Evidence of this ice age were found in glacial deposits from Namibia, Brazil and China, but not in many other sites of glacial deposits of the Neoproterozoic. It is therefore assumed that the Kaigas glaciation in contrast to the stubbornness tables and Marinoischen Ice Age was not global.
