Kaiserslautern Military Community

As Kaiserslautern Military Community ( KMC) means all of the U.S. armed forces (U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force) is referred to in and around Kaiserslautern. With around 50,000 military personnel and civilians (as of September 2011) is the KMC world 's largest U.S. military base outside the United States.

Major military installations

One of the key military facilities within the KMC in the Army include Daenner Barracks (Kaiserslautern ), the adhesive Barracks (Kaiserslautern ), the Panzer Kaserne (Kaiserslautern ), Sembach Annex, the Miesau Army Depot ( Bruchmühlbach -Miesau ) the Husterhoeh barracks (1946-1997) and the " USAMMCE " (U.S. Army Medical Materiel Center, Europe) in Pirmasens.

The Air Force maintains the facilities Einsiedlerhof ( Warrior Preparation Center ), Rhine Ordnance Barracks (Kaiserslautern ), Kapaun Air Station (Kaiserslautern ), Pulaski Barracks (Kaiserslautern ) and the Ramstein Air Base ( Landstuhl ).
