Kalderash

Kalderash (also Kalderash, Kalderash, Kalderasha, Kalderara, Kelderara ) is the name of a tribe of Roma, who specializes in the craft of coppersmiths. The name Kalderash is the Romanian word for boilers, căldărar ) derived.

Originally particularly in Romania, but in addition also houses throughout Southeast Europe, the Kalderascha groups turned to the west and are now arguably the world's most widely used subset of the Roma. The language of Kalderascha belongs to the Vlax dialects of Romany, but divided into numerous sub- dialects.
