Kalka (Hindi: कालका, kalaka ) is a town with 30,883 inhabitants ( 2001 census ) in the district in the Indian state of Haryana Panchkula.

It is located on National Highway 22 between Chandigarh and Shimla at an altitude of 670 meters and is the starting point of the Kalka - Shimla Railway ( narrow gauge railway ) in the mountains of the Himalayas.
